About

Fake data generators produce synthetic but realistic records that mimic real-world data without exposing any personal information. This is essential for development and testing because using real user data in non-production environments is a privacy and compliance risk.

How to use

  1. 1.

Pick a Category: Person, Address, Internet, Company or Finance

  2. 2.

Untick any Fields you do not need - they all start ticked

  3. 3.

Set the number of Rows (up to 1,000) - type it or pick 10, 100 or 1,000 - and choose JSON or CSV

  4. 4.

The data updates as you change options; select Regenerate for new values, then copy or download it

Common uses

  • ▸

Seeding databases with realistic test data during development

  • ▸

Populating UI prototypes and mockups with believable content

  • ▸

Generating sample datasets for QA test cases

  • ▸

Creating dummy data for demos and presentations

  • ▸

Testing form validation with realistic inputs like emails and phone numbers

Frequently asked questions

Can I use this data in production?

The generated data is entirely fictional and intended for testing, demos, and development only. Never use fake data in production systems.

What data types can it generate?

Five categories: Person (names, email, phone, gender, job title, birthdate), Address (US street, city, state, ZIP code and coordinates), Internet (username, email, URL, IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, domain name, user agent, password), Company (name, department, job title, catch phrase, business statement, EIN) and Finance (credit card number, CVV, currency code, amount, IBAN, Bitcoin address, account number). Fields within a row agree with each other: a Person row's full name and email share the same first and last name, an Internet row's username and email do too, and an Address row's ZIP code matches its state.

Can I download the output?

Yes. Download saves the data in the Format you picked, as fake-data.json or fake-data.csv, and Copy puts it on the clipboard. JSON is always an array of records, and the CSV file starts with a UTF-8 byte order mark so Excel opens it with the right encoding.

Is my data sent to a server?

All data generation runs locally in your browser using the @faker-js/faker library. No data is transmitted anywhere.

Are the generated credit card numbers real?

Generated card numbers pass the Luhn algorithm check (used for format validation) but are not real or usable for any transactions.
